Why Pledge?
As noted by Jason on the HackerspaceSG mailing list, we need to raise funds in order to make the Hackerspace a reality.
With the amount raised, we will then be able to:
- Satisfy basic operational expenses, eg. food+drinks for all, venue rental, communal equipment, etc.
- Show possible funding sources that the Hackerspace is in demand, and will do the community good.
The target amount has been set to SGD 6,000 in monthly revenues.

How to Pledge?
Here's how to pledge, in a few easy steps (you will need an active Paypal account)
Log into PaypalInitiate a Personal Payment to ruiwen[plus]paypalhackerspacesg [at] thoughtmonkeys [dot] com (<--usual unmangling applies)
Complete the rest of the transaction as per normal Paypal procedure.Email the thoughtmonkeys [dot] com email address above, stating your name, and amount donated, so that we can double check.

Perform a bank transfer to the Standard Chartered account with the following details:

Please follow up with an email to ruiwen[plus]paypalhackerspacesg [at] thoughtmonkeys [dot] com with the subject "Hackerspace Pledge" with your name and transaction details immediately following a transfer, thanks.
Bank account details will also be put up on hackerspace.sg as an authoritative source soon.
Paying by cheque
Pass the cheque to one of: Meng, Ruiwen, NengGiin, Justin or Luther in the Hackerspace and we'll process it.
Important: The premise of this donation drive is that we will take/make use of the money IF, AND ONLY IF, the Hackerspace moves into operation. Otherwise, the funds are to be refunded if the plans fail for whatever reason. Therefore, please do not make your pledges anonymous. (Unless you're feeling extremely generous =) Heh we are opened now :D

I would donate my 4Mbit SingTel ADSL connection as a backup line to the space users. (So the main donators are not necessarily disturbed by download burst, etc)
